Phenolics and Terpenoids Profiling in Diverse Loquat Fruit Varieties and Systematic Assessment of Their Mitigation of Alcohol-Induced Oxidative Stress

To compare and investigate the phenolic compounds in peel flesh of loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) evaluate their ability to protect against alcohol-induced liver oxidative stress, we employed a combination ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) qualitatively quantitatively analyze 22 phenolics 2 terpenoid extracts (extraction with 95% ethanol). Among these, six were identified for first time loquat, revealing distinct distribution patterns based on variety tissue. Various chemical models, such as DPPH, FRAP, ORAC, ABTS, used assess free radical scavenging metal ion reduction capabilities. The results indicate that exhibited higher antioxidant capacity compared extracts. Using normal mouse cell line, AML-12, explored protective effects individual ethanol-induced stress. findings demonstrate enhanced viability induction enzyme activity through modulation Nrf2 Keap1 gene expression.
